Studio Work

My greatest passion has always been working in my photo studio. While I occasionally shot still-lifes, my focus was on portraiture. No makeup artist, no stylist — just my subject and me, working together, in a space free from distractions. When a shoot required more elaborate styling, I welcomed preparation and assistance, but even then, we would pair the assignment with something unexpected. This kept the sessions fresh, gave them momentum, and, above all, made them fun. These photos are made between 2005 and 2012.
